You can play around with it to get the benefits. Make sure you watch your body system before starting this fast. Your dinner should be latest 6 p.m. and wait until the next 16 hours to eat. But make sure you drink water during the fasting window.
- 18/6 water fast:
This is having an eating window of 6 hours; you just have enough time to eat a well balance diet. The rest of the 18 hours of the day is your fasting time. You keep drinking water till your “eating window”. It also involve skipping breakfast and lunch. Children, pregnant women, nursing mothers and older adults are not to do this fast.
- 24 hours water fast:
Can you go a whole day without eating food, just only water? You are in this category. Most people do this for spiritual and religious reasons. No food, vegetable, fruit salads or anything besides water. You can go as far as 72 hours but make sure not to exceed this period without a medical supervision. Though you are going to lose lot of weight, however, you ought to monitor your body in case of any changes.
