Freshly made smoothie is one of the secret of weight loss. It is a fantastic way of getting a whole mixture of different fruits in blender. Smoothie provide a greater nutritional nutrients and benefits without adding extra calories to the body.
Though some smoothie are better off than others when it comes to burning pounds in the body, but the ones for weight loss must include a balance protein, fiber, water, vitamins and minerals.
Recently, I felt like trying something different from what I have in my smoothie collection, and here I came up with sweet refreshing pineapple and cucumber smoothie. This smoothie has everything you need for weight loss.
Pineapple, is a sweet refreshing tropical fruit packed with nutrients and health benefits. It is a good source of fiber, vitamin B1, B6, and C along with high water content useful for weight loss. This delicious fruit aids in achieving weight loss goals by controlling the hunger level and keeping you satiated for along period. The dietary fiber present in pineapple helps in suppressing the appetite and also reduces the craving for those unhealthy sugary food/snacks. It also stimulate the secretion in the pancreatic duct to support easy digestion of food.
It’s hard for anyone who want to lose weight not to like cucumber. At every bite of cucumber, you are eating your way to weight loss. Apart from being so cool and refreshing, it has the ability to burn the fat in the stomach due to it’s high water content. Cucumber is also a low calorie vegetable packed with dietary fiber that enhance the effectiveness of the smoothie.
With the addition of spinach, it prevent the body from craving for more food. Spinach is a part of low calorie meal. And it add no extra calorie to the smoothie, hence you can drink lot of it without pilling up calories.
Ingredients for Pineapple and Cucumber Smoothie:
- 1 cup of pineapple
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1 handful Spinach
- 1/4 cup of skimmed milk
Roughly chop both the cucumber and spinach. Add all the ingredient to a high speed food processor (blender) and add little of cold water. Blend on a high speed until smooth. Add the skimmed milk and blend again. Pour in a glass, and enjoy your weight loss green smoothie.
